Sweet potato chips
I happen to love chips/fries but it’s just not good you. Besides the ‘healthy’ variaties they sell in the Netherlands (chipsÂ made fromÂ corn, carrot and beans) I wanted to make chips from different veggies. What ingredient is better suitable for chips than sweet potato? Nothing right? I decided to put my fries cutter to work (it really works better with a sharp knife but I just think of it as a proper work out) and made my own chips (without a deep fryer that is).Â You should try this simple recipe for sweet potato chips too!
Ingredients for sweet potato chips:
- Sweet potato
- Fresh rosemary
- Olive oil
- Sea salt
- Fries/chip cutter or just a sharp knife
Preheat the oven to 180 c/350 F. Rinse the sweet potato and cut it into chips/fries shape (technically just long strokes).
Cover a baking tray with parchment paper and place the sweet potato on top of it. Drizzle a bit of olive oil on it (it doesn’t hurt if the potato start to shine a bit), add fresh rosemary and some sea salt.
Place the baking tray in the oven for about 40 minutes and you’re good to go.
