Lactose free chocolate dipped cherries
Every december I host a dinner party for my girlfriends. You can imagine that when a food blogger is hosting a dinner party the expectations are quite high. So I start collecting recipes for the menu weeks beforehand (maybe even months). Last year I decided to haveÂ chocolate dipped cherries as one of the three (!) desserts. You could call it a side dessert (is that even a thing?).
Anyways, with that in mind I went to the market and it turns out that getting cherries in the winter is almost a mission impossible. After searching in five different super markets I found them and dipped them in chocolate straight away. Chocolate makes everything better doesn’t it? I’ll share the recipe for you but you can understand that it’s quite simple.
Here we go!
Ingredients for chocolate dipped cherries:
- Box of cherries (preferably with stems)
- 200g dark chocolate (lactose fee)
Rinse the cherries and place a piece of parchment paper on your baking tray (or anywhere else for that matter).
Melt the chocolate over hot water (au bain marie). Once it melts, grab a cherry and dip that thing in there. Place it on the parchment paper and let it harden.
As soon as the chocolate is hard you can dig in! Try not to eat them at once. If you feel like eating them all at once, go for it. Who am I to say no? Go for it!
