Chocolate fudge popsicles

As we speak the weather in the Netherlands sucks (excuse my language). But on the other side of the world it’s summer! When we’re talking summer we’re talking about ice cream. But every now and then you need something different than sorbet or soy ice cream. I have found a great recipe at Zakka Sweet Design. They call these bad boys ‘Chunky Monky Fudgesicles‘. I like that name! I’m just gonna go for chocolate fudge popsicles which are suitable for people with a paleo lifestyle or for those who are gluten free, lactose free, vegan and sugar free (refined sugars that is).


  • 3 ripe bananes
  • 2 dl coconut milk or almond milk
  • 0,5 dl cocoa
  • 2 tbsp agave nectar
  • hint of salt
  • 0,5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0,5 dl peanut butter

Preparing these chocolate fudge popsicles is very easy. Just make sure you’ve got the right moulds. Put all ingredients into the blender, turn it on and wait until its mixed properly. Poor into the ice moulds carefully (my counter top was covered as I was a little bit too enthusiastic.

Place in the freezer for at least 4 hours and you’re good to go.
